BEHIND YOHAKU

Aesthetics, art, and interior design have interested me for as long as I can remember. Therefore, I originally earned a degree in Aesthetics and Culture from Aarhus University. Alongside my schooling and studies, I have always expressed my creativity through various art forms. However, my first encounter with ceramics was fateful.

I was drawn to the world of ceramics because of its unique combination of aesthetics, function, and natural origin. It fascinates me how the earth's raw materials can be transformed into beautiful, durable objects through fire. I work with a deep respect for the origin of the materials, experimenting with different types of clay and firing curves. My process is both technical and artistic, allowing me to continuously explore and develop my craft.
